My first time....

So....Its finally time!  I have been anticipating this for the last six months.  So here we go... I'm a mom of 2 boys and wife to a salesman.  This is not how I define myself.  Although my life does revolve around my 3 boys, I do have my own life and this is where we begin.  Ten years ago I struggled with turning 25 and this year it was turning 35.  For some reason the 5's bother me, not the 0!  With this birthday came new life definition and lots of questions.  What are my priorities, where is my focus and where in the world am I headed?  I have lots of different questions that have developed some that have immediate answers and others I believe will take days, weeks or even months to answer.

A little more history...I am a Christian, raised in a Southern Baptist church in the Bible Belt of America.  I have had a relationship with Christ for 23 years and a truly personal relationship for the last 8 years.  I know this now that I look back but would have believed for years I understood the "personal relationship" people always talked about.  I have questions for several years why my Faith doesn't seem to be as strong as the amazing people in the Bible.  I believe that if I had a burning bush, a rock that turned to water, or had seen the parting of the Red Sea it wouldn't have been a problem.

Well guess what?  Our God provided and in the last 18 months I have witnessed miracles and seen things that are unexplainable.  Most recently a mother of 4 who fought for her life for hours when doctors were skeptical.  Prior to that a mother and father who are able to witness daily to a town that prayed for their baby who fought just as hard for days. (More on these amazing miracles later) Which is what brings me to the most current life question...

Do you think God is providing bigger miracles for all the world to see or is it that I notice these miracles more at this time in my life?

  1. I think I am just more aware because of the timing in my life & changes in my life.

  2. Interesting. Something I haven't really thought about. But, I'd be inclined to think that "bigger" miracles have been there all along. Maybe you just haven't had the opportunity to experience them yourself until now. God is the same yesterday, today, and always.

Good writing. Keep it up. You are welcome to come visit me at
